Surgut District Clinical Center for Maternity and Childhood Health

Design and construction timelines: 2015 to 2021

In December 2014, VIS Group (represented by its subsidiary OOO VIS Infrastructure) and the Department of Health of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District - Ugra signed an agreement on public-private partnership for the design, construction, equipment and technical operation of the clinical perinatal center in Surgut.

The Surgut District Center for Maternal and Child Health for 10,000 births per year was built in Surgut. The complex, with an area of over 78,000 m2 and equipped with cutting-edge medical equipment, will allow to create a fundamentally new system for the provision of perinatal services, fulfilling  the tasks of the Healthcare National Project.

The three blocks of the building are interconnected by passages, including underground passages, integrating the extensive internal infrastructure and providing doctors with convenient access to any needed department. The food and service blocks are placed in separate buildings, which excludes the ingress of any foreign odors and pollution into the center’s medical blocks.

A well-organized system of entrances, elevators and ventilation, as well as a special climate control system, allow the center to provide comfortable conditions for visitors and patients 365 days a year.

The center is designed for 165 visits per day. The project provides for 1500 functional rooms. The hospital houses several maternity departments, a surgery unit for 15 operations at a time, mother and child intensive care units. The high-tech ergonomic complex is equipped with 6,000 units of unique modern medical equipment manufactured in Russia and abroad. These are the most modern complexes for magnetic resonance and computed tomography; mammography system with tomosynthesis, contrast mammography and biopsy options; angiographic system and a modern apparatus for radiography with a universal remote-controlled system. The center has all the necessary equipment for the department of reproductive technologies with an IVF laboratory. Conditions for the work of over 2000 specialists have been created here.

This is the only facility of its kind in the Russian Far North, and one of the largest perinatal centers in Russia and Europe. The project was awarded the ROSINFRA National Infrastructure Award in the Quality Infrastructure Investment nomination.

The public-private partnership agreement provides for the technical operation of the perinatal center until 2024.
