The construction of the fourth bridge across the Ob has begun in Novosibirsk, and one of the key stages of the reconstruction of the Zyryanovsky overpass at the approach to the bridge was completed. Over the short May holidays, the spans over the Ippodromskaya street were removed. Partial traffic flow on the street has been restored, but some lane-specific restrictions will continue until the work on site is completed. The project concessionaire is the Siberian Concession Company (part of VIS Group). VIS Production Company, the parent company of VIS Group construction subholding, is the general contractor.
Reconstruction of the overpass entails the replacement of the bridge canvas and expansion joints, slope reinforcement and modernization of the lighting masts. The height of the overpass flights will also be increased. This will make it possible to bring the technical condition of the overpass up to the modern construction standards of the fourth bridge. Given the high speed of traffic flow on the new bridge (up to 100 km/hr), all the ramps to it must meet high technical requirements to ensure the safety of car owners and public transport passengers.
A construction base has been deployed on the banks of the Ob River, and a fleet of special equipment vehicles and necessary material resources have been mobilized in the region. Drilling operations under the bridge supports are slated to begin in the near future.
