On October 1, the 5th Strategic Forum “Transport Infrastructure of Russia,” which is part of the ROSINFRA Infrastructure Congress event cycle, began its work,. The National Center for Public-Private Partnerships and the Roscongress Foundation are the event organizers.
This year, the forum focused was the implementation of regional PPP projects within the framework of national projects of Russia and the Comprehensive Plan for the modernization and expansion of key infrastructure. The plenary meeting was chaired by First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Innokenty Alafinov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region Vadim Khromov, Deputy Chairman of VEB.RF Yuri Korsun. At the invitation of the organizing committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIS Group Igor Snegurov also took part in the plenary meeting of the forum.
Participants discussed the implementation of a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade plan, methods of project selection and monitoring their implementation. The practice of allocating intergovernmental transfers to regional PPP projects was examined separately.
Igor Snegurov spoke about VIS Group’s experience in attracting extrabudgetary investments in infrastructure projects. The holding today implements large-scale transport projects in several Russian regions from Kaliningrad to Khabarovsk. VIS Group acts as a qualified investor in all projects and manages them throughout their entire life cycle.
The forum will continue until October 2 and will end with an educational day dedicated to working with donors and strategic planning of transport projects at both federal and regional levels.
