To date, the setup of technological sites for the four pillars of the bridge and the approaches to them has been completed. Over 21,000 cubic meters of sand and over 1,700 cubic meters of gravel were used for this purpose. 45 units of special equipment are engaged in the work. The assembly and commissioning of the new Bauer BG36 and Bauer BG33 drilling machines has been completed.
The construction of bored piles will begin with the fourth bridge pillar, located on the left bank of the Ob. In total, 12 bored piles with a diameter of 1.2 m will be used for the foundation of the fourth support. A Liebherr concrete mixing plant was installed and put into operation at the construction site, and inert materials were delivered for the production of concrete mix.
The construction of the fourth bridge across the Ob is carried out on a concession basis. OOO Siberian Concession Company (part of the VIS Group) acts as the concessionaire in the project, and the concession grantor is the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, represented by the Ministry of Transport and Roads.
The Central Bridge will connect the Yuzhnaya Square with the Labor Square, running parallel to the existing railway crossing. It will provide exits to the Baikal, Chuysky Tract and Siberia federal highways. In addition to the bridge itself, large-scale construction will be deployed on both sides of the Ob River. The project provides for the creation of several viaducts over the city tram lines and Trans-Siberian Railway lines. The total length of all the transport infrastructure facilities will exceed 5 kilometers.
