The key topics of the forum included the development of regional infrastructure, the use of public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms and the improvement of measures to support investors in the regions. Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk region Ruslan Gattarov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Vadim Zhivulin, Chief Federal Inspector for the Chelyabinsk region Sergey Morev, as well as managers of Sberbank, Gazprombank and other financial structures took part in the outreach session of SPIEF.
“Chelyabinsk should become one of the leaders among Russian cities with the most developed congress and exhibition infrastructure and experience of conducting high-level international events on the eve of the SCO and BRICS summits in 2020,” said Chelyabinsk Region Governor Boris Dubrovsky.
Major Russian investment companies involved in public-private partnership (PPP) and concession projects were invited to participate in the forum. VIS Group was represented by Natalia Reznichenko, First Deputy CEO for Investment and Project Management of the First Concession Corporation. She took part in the expert session on effective risk distribution in PPP projects, providing federal support for regional projects and working with control and supervisory authorities.
The event also included the Promising Regional Infrastructure Projects road show and a presentation of regional PPP projects that are in the preparatory stages.
