Over 200 metal frames have been produced for bored piles of the Lena Bridge supports

VIS Group has organized the continuous production of structures required for the construction of the Lena Bridge. Work is being carried out at technological sites on both riverbanks. Production shops have been equipped on each bank, mobile concrete plants have been installed and put into operation. On the left bank, a site has been organized for storing metal floating cofferdams structures, whose delivery from the plant in Tyumen has begun. Later, their large-scale assembly is slated to start here.

At the moment, 57 bored pile reinforcement frames for support # 4 have been completed. Stamp tests that have been carried out confirmed the reliability of the soil base. Builders have begun installing piles for the support. This is already the third bridge support where work is being carried out. Another 105 of 138 reinforcement cages have been manufactured for support #7, the last of four on the left bank.

At the same time, similar structures are being wound for support #29 on the right bank, with 46 of 84 cages already completed. The embankment of process platform #3 has also been completed, with over 103,000 m3 of sand laid.

The reconstruction of the Tamma River and the Vostochno-Khaptagaiskaya channel, which are partly located within the area of the future highway, continues. The new river section will be created in accordance with the design documentation that has passed an environmental assessment.

The Lena Bridge will provide year-round communication between the regions of Yakutia separated by the river, significantly changing the logistics scheme in this region of the Russian Far East, improving transport accessibility and quality of life. The concession project provides for the construction of 14.5 km of highway, including an almost 5-kilometer cable-stayed bridge with three pylons. The project is being implemented in a concession format with the usage of extra-budgetary funds, which allows for the implementation of a large-scale infrastructure project without a significant burden on the federal and regional budgets. The project’s concessionaire and investor is VIS Group, the concession grantor is the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
