Rosdornii specialists will provide federal construction supervision of the Lena Bridge construction work

VIS Group signed an agreement with the research institute FAU Rosdornii on the implementation of control and monitoring the quality of work during the construction of a bridge crossing over the Lena River in Yakutia. ROSDORNII is a subordinate institution of the Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) and carries out construction supervision during the implementation of projects of high national importance with federal co-financing.

The institute's experts will provide incoming, operational and acceptance control, engaging engineering and technical workers at the construction site in Yakutsk. All work will be carried out in accordance with the unified technical policy of Rosavtodor and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. ROSDORNII specialists provided supervision over the construction and reconstruction of such highways as the M-11 “Neva,” M-4 “Don,” the Central Ring Road and others.

The institute’s experts have already visited the bridge crossing construction site. Today, the project has entered the main construction stage; the installation of bored piles of the first bridge support on the left bank is underway. The construction of the entire transport infrastructure is slated for completion by the end of 2028. The total length of the bridge and approaches to it will span 14.5 km.

The project is being implemented in the concession format, financed by federal and republican budgets and private investments. VIS Group is the project’s investor and concessionaire, the concession grantor is the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the financial partner is SBER. The bridge will connect the capital of the republic with the "mainland" for the first time, replacing winter roads and ferries and will significantly improve the quality of life of the population of the country’s north-east. The transport and logistics hub being created will form the framework for the development of the backbone transport network in the Russian Far East and will become the basis for a new stage of Yakutia’s socio-economic development.
