This year Qatar is an SPIEF-2021 guest country. The Qatari delegation is one of the most numerous in the history of the country's participation in international economic forums: it comprised representatives of over 50 Qatari organizations. Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will take part in the plenary session of the forum together with Russian President Vladimir Putin via videoconference.
At the meeting, Qatar was represented by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Saleh Majid Al Hulaifi and CEO of Qatar-Russia Investment & Trade Advisory (QRITA) Oleg Chizh. The VIS Group was represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors Igor Snegurov, member of the Board of Directors Sergei Romashov, member of the Supervisory Board Sylvan Eid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of National Transport Concessions Dmitry Pronchatov and CEO of the holding's investment division Natalia Reznichenko.
The meeting mainly concerned the prospects for cooperation in the implementation of important infrastructure projects in Qatar, in particular, the possibility of creating high-speed highways and bridges, as well as environmental facilities, on a public-private partnership basis. Representatives of Qatar familiarized themselves with VIS Group's experience in the implementation of similar projects. Accumulated competencies in large-scale PPP project management allow the holding to replicate the best practices in the implementation of infrastructure projects in other countries.
