“As of today, the installation and concreting of 43 bored piles on the left bank has been completed. The pile frames for supports 4 and 5 have been fully manufactured. The backfilling of process site No. 1 and the assembly of a heated garage for equipment have been completed. A vehicle fueling station has been installed directly at the production site. By the end of the year, we will complete the paneling of the reinforcement shop frame. The gas supply to the site has been laid, the gas pipeline is being pressure tested, and site No. 2 is also being connected to the power supply,” said Anton Krupnov, Director of Construction at VIS Stroy.
On the right bank, the builders also completed the backfill of the technological site and began manufacturing metal frames for piles on a winding machine in an equipped workshop. At the same time, the Tamma River bed is being reconstructed in accordance with the design documentation; excavation work has been completed in the amount of 30%.
Preparations are already underway for the next construction season, when work will begin directly in the river bed. The largest of these is the installation of cofferdams for the construction of three bridge pylons. The Stalmost plant in Tyumen manufactured 1,163 of the 4,500 tons of metal structures.
The concession for the construction of the Lena Bridge is being implemented under an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and VIS Group. This infrastructure project is one of the largest in Russia. The 4.6 km-long three-pylon cable-stayed bridge will be built in Arctic climate conditions with existing objective restrictions on the delivery of materials and equipment. The total length of the highway will be 14.5 km, it is designed to allow through 5,300 cars per day. VIS Group is responsible for the design, attraction of extra-budgetary financing, construction and specialized operation of the bridge crossing.
The builders of the Lena Bridge are close to fulfilling their plans for this year
VIS Group continues to implement the planned production program for the construction of a bridge crossing over the Lena River in Yakutsk by the end of the year. Despite the harsh weather conditions, when the temperature drops to -35 degrees, the work is proceeding at the required pace.“As of today, the installation and concreting of 43 bored piles on the left bank has been completed.
