The construction site is located on the shore of Lake Saisary. It employs over 100 people and engages a range of special equipment, including tower and truck cranes, and concrete mixer trucks. The overall construction readiness of the facility is estimated at 20%.
This large-scale project is being implemented on a public-private partnership basis, with the VIS Group as the investor. Under the terms of the agreement with the government of the republic, the private partner provides financing, and is responsible for design and construction, as well as the subsequent technical operation of the facility for 7 years until 2024. The financial partner of the project is Gazprombank.
This integrated complex will house a philharmonic, two national theaters, and a space for exhibitions and business events. The applied architectural solutions and the climatic conditions make it a unique facility. No such cultural centers have been built in the past in permafrost conditions.
As a result of the implementation of this PPP project, for the first time ever, it will be possible to hold musical events of any level in Yakutia: from classical music concerts to international theatrical performances, show programs and conferences. A separate architectural project concerns the improvement of the adjacent territory. A modern fortified embankment will appear within the city limits, and a public space with recreation areas will be set up on the shore. The cultural cluster is bound to become a new architectural dominant of Yakutsk and a point of attraction for tourists.
