The road surface has been completely installed on the exit over an area of 1,200 m2, temporary markings and road signs have been installed. The Novosibirsk Energy Grid Company municipal enterprise has successfully completed the reconstruction of the trolleybus contact network, the route of which now also passes along exit No. 4.
This is one of 25 exits provided for by the project as part of one of the largest transport interchanges in Russia. The new transport infrastructure is being created as part of a concession project for the construction of a bridge crossing in the center of Siberia’s capital. About 280 people are currently engaged in the construction, the main front of work is concentrated on the tunnel under the Trans-Siberian railway line and the main line overpass, and some of the left-bank interchange exits. Its construction readiness is estimated at 80%, the readiness of the right-bank interchange is 89%. The main line overpass and the bridge crossing itself are built at 92% and 96%, respectively.
VIS Group is the project’s concessionaire and investor. The grantor is the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the Novosibirsk Region. The new bridge and interchanges allow traffic to pass without traffic lights. Over 70,000 cars per day will be able to pass at an estimated speed of up to 100 km/hr. This should contribute to a significant unloading of the Novosibirsk road network.
