After the launch of automobile traffic on the ice crossing, it became possible to transport equipment and personnel from the left bank, where the main technological site is located, to the right bank. On December 5, Vladimir Sivtsev, Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), visited the construction site on the right bank.
Mikhail Akimov, head of the production technology department of the general contractor VIS Stroy, spoke about the progress of the work: “Here, the backfill of the third technological platform is 90% complete, work is being carried out to demolish green spaces along the highway’s main route from the junction with the federal highway A-360 “Lena”. Within the framework of the technical solutions agreed upon by the Main Directorate of State Expertise of Russia, work is being carried out to reconstruct the Tamma River bed. 12,000 m3 of soil have been excavated.”
Just like on the left bank, an arctic-type concrete plant and a reinforcement shop have been installed. This will allow to begin installing bored piles for the bridge supports on the right bank in the first quarter of next year. All technological processes are structured with regard to the harsh climatic conditions. Thermal shelters for special equipment and personnel are being assembled, and the reinforcement shops on both banks are being insulated.
VIS Group is the concessionaire, investor and general contractor managing the full project implementation cycle from design, financing and construction to subsequent operation of the Lena Bridge. The concessionaire is the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the financial partner is SBER.
VIS Group completes infrastructure for construction of Lena Bridge on the right bank of Lena River
VIS Group has launched construction work on the bridge crossing over the Lena River in Yakutsk on both banks.
