On December 19, 2018, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) held a strategic session dedicated to engaging private companies in the implementation of government objectives aimed at transport infrastructure development. Igor Snegurov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIS Group, participated in the event.
Business community’s proposals elaborated during the session were related to the participation in the implementation of railway infrastructure development projects, and will be addressed to state-owned companies and authorities. In particular, Igor Snegurov told the federal media about VIS Group’s interest in participating in the construction of the Indiga port in the Nenets Autonomous District on the conditions of a public-private partnership.
“I think this could be an interesting project. It is considered comprehensively, as part of the concession that includes the port, the railway that leads to it and the raw material base itself. There are international examples of concessions that involve the railways for the field deposit development,” stated the head of VIS Group.
The holding’s experts are conducting the preliminary analysis of the project for subsequent development of technological and economic solutions for its implementation in the PPP format.
