The key parameters of this large-scale infrastructure project were articulated by the Head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev. The construction of the bridge will provide transport and logistic connectivity across 18% of the Russian Federation territory. In particular, it will make it possible to connect the Trans-Siberian and Baikal-Amur Highways, the Lena, Kolyma and Vilyuy federal highways, as well as link Eastern Siberia with the Sea of Okhotsk ports. The cost of importing resources for Yakutia’s needs will be reduced by 30-70%, year-round transport connectivity will become available for over 80% of the region’s population.
VIS Group presented its technical solution for project implementation. Previously, at the Eastern Economic Forum, a tripartite agreement was signed between the Government of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), VIS Group and the Chinese state-owned China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC).
