Khabarovsky Ecotechnopark

Concession grantor: Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Khabarovsk Territory

Concessionaire: OOO RusEcoGroup

The agreement on project implementation was signed in 2020 following a tender announced on a private concession initiative. In July 2021, OOO RusEcoGroup (VIS Group’s head company of the ecology and housing and communal services division) became the only participant in the concession for the creation of the Khabarovsky Ecotechnopark. The concession agreement provides for the design, organization of financing, construction and operation of solid municipal waste (MSW) sorting facilities and is concluded for a period of 25 years. The projected service area includes 617,473 people.

The project provides for the creation and operation of an MSW sorting plant, a bulky waste treatment station, an organic waste treatment station and landfills for tailings. The capacity of the future MSW sorting complex will equal 220,000 tons per year.

The modern technologically advanced ecotechnopark being created within the framework of the national “Ecology” project will allow to sort 50% of the waste generated in the Khabarovsk Territory. Upon completion of the project, the distance of waste transportation along certain routes will be reduced by 60 kilometers.
