A modern water treatment system is being created at the Mytishchi high-speed chord under construction

VIS Group uses innovative technologies in its infrastructure projects that help reduce the negative impact on the environment. On the Mytishchi high-speed chord under construction in the Moscow region, thirteen local wastewater treatment plants with a total volume of about 15,000 m3 are provided. All of them are located on sections where the route passes through the Pirogovsky forest park, their capacity ranges from 1.5 to 38 liters per second.

The new road is designed for the passage of up to 39,000 vehicles per day. Unlike regular roads, where rainwater most often flows into open water without prior treatment, such heavy traffic requires increased environmental safety measures. In this regard, at the expressway design stage, special treatment facilities were slated to be created to purify wastewater and reduce the concentration of suspended solids and oil products before further discharge.

Storage tanks are currently being built between the Afanasovskoe highway and the Povedniki-Belyaninovo highway, near Ostashkovskoe and Pirogovskoe highways. At present, the concreting of foundations, formwork and walls is being carried out at three local wastewater treatment plans. This stage has been completed at the largest wastewater treatment plant; the builders are reinforcing the upper slab. Each treatment complex will carry out multi-stage treatment, including mechanical filtration, and biological and chemical treatment. All this will make it possible to significantly reduce the content of environmentally harmful substances in wastewater.

The construction of the route is being carried out from Afanasovsky to Stary Yaroslavl Highway. More than 1,000 people and 150 units of special equipment are engaged at the construction site. Over a span of 9 kilometers, the top layer of the road base, created from an asphalt concrete mixture has already been laid, 8 out of 11 artificial structures are being built. On the overpasses, installation of fixed formwork, reinforcement and concreting of span structures is carried out.

Mytishchi high-speed chord is one of the largest road projects in the Moscow region. The highway will connect Dmitrovskoye, Ostashkovskoye and Yaroslavskoye highways and improve transport accessibility for almost a million residents of adjacent settlements. This is the first road concession in Russia implemented on a private concession initiative. The project investor is VIS Group. After construction is completed, the holding will operate the road until 2032.
