An overpass is being nuilt over the Yaroslavl railway begins on the Mytishchi Expressway under construction

Over 10 pile-driving rigs were used by VIS Group in the construction of the 800-meter overpass over the Yaroslavl railway lines of the Moscow Railway. It will become one of 11 bridges and overpasses along the 16-kilometer Mytishchi Expressway. Today, the bored piles, grillages and supports for the overpass and flyover portions of the road crossing are being installed here.

The relocation of high-voltage power lines has been completed on some sections of the highway under construction, which allowed to begin the construction of new artificial structures. In total, over 870 people and 156 units of special equipment are engaged in the construction; most of which are currently involved in the construction of bridges and overpasses. In the north, the new highway adjoins Afanasovskoe Highway, where construction of the overpass for traffic interchange No. 1 has also begun. The grillages and racks of all supports are ready, and the metal span structures are 40% assembled.

Another large portion of work is the construction of the main course of the 16-kilometer highway and related infrastructure. 94% of the road bed has been laid, the remaining part is the areas where power transmission lines are expected to be relocated. All layers of the asphalt concrete road surface are ready on a 8.6-km span, and the construction of another 10.2 km of the main “road pie” structure is also finished. The installation of light poles and noise barriers continues. The total number of lighting masts will exceed 1,300 units, and the noise protection structures will span almost 30 km.

The Mytishchi Expressway is a concession project implemented by VIS Group with the Government of the Moscow Region. In addition to 11 bridges and overpasses, which will eliminate traffic crossings of the existing highways, country roads and natural barriers, six transport interchanges are being built on the highway, thanks to which residents of all adjacent settlements will be able to use the new road. The commissioning of the route is slated to improve transport accessibility for almost a million residents of the Moscow region.
