Concreting work in the new wastewater treatment complex in Solnechnogorsk is 70% complete

As part of the Ecology national project and the Improvement of the Volga federal program, VIS Group is building a modern complex of wastewater treatment facilities in the Moscow region. The project involves the creation of 11 structures that will create a new water treatment system and replace an outdated station in the village of Osipovo in the Solnechnogorsk urban district.

To date, more than 70% of the concreting work at the site has been completed, with almost 7,000 m3 of concrete laid. 90% of the technological equipment for aeration tanks – biochemical wastewater treatment reservoirs – has been installed. Work continues on the construction of pumping and sludge stations, and preparations are underway for the installation of metal structures for mechanical and additional water treatment buildings. The construction site employs 55 specialist engineering and technical personnel, machine operators and workers.

The existing treatment facilities in the village of Osipovo were built in 1971 and today treat the wastewater from the villages of Timonovo, Talaevo, Karpovo, the villages of the Ministry of Defense and Smirnovka – over 60,000 residents in total. The station’s equipment is outdated, and its overall degree of wear and tear is estimated at 75%.

The project implemented by VIS Group will not only increase the productivity of treatment facilities twofold, but also reduce the costs of their operation. Modern technologies will allow to remove harmful substances from water more effectively, which will also extend the positive impact to the environmental situation in the region. The capacity of the new complex will be 27,000 cubic meters per day, maximum productivity – 1744 cubic meters per hour. There is also a plan in place to modernize and move the laboratory in which water quality is studied to a new building.
