VIS Group in cooperation with designers and planners completed the interior design concept for the State Philharmonic and the Arctic Center in Yakutsk. This is one of the most large-scale infrastructure projects in the cultural sector in Russia, implemented on the principles of public-private partnership (PPP). The modern building will not only become one of the architectural dominants of Yakutia's capital, but will also create a space of a completely new level for studying and exhibiting both contemporary art and the unique culture of the Yakuts.
The adopted interior design concept reflects the desire to create a harmonious space that will visually and symbolically unite music, culture and nature of Yakutia. In addition to a common roof, the halls of the Philharmonic and theaters are united by a single entrance group – a spacious foyer, in the design of which the theme of folk epic will be used. Air and light are among the main decorative elements of the foyer, creating a large atrium space. Open public areas with buffets and cafes, administrative and technical rooms are organically combined here. Both the Philharmonic and the Arctic Center will additionally have their own spacious foyers of almost 2 thousand square meters each, which will house walking galleries, a library, a children's room and much more.
