It was possible to carry out the work without blocking road traffic. In agreement with the city authorities, the installation was carried out between 11:00 p.m. on August 12 and 5:00 a.m. on August 13. The structure with a length of 34 m and a weight of 28 tons is installed in the design position. The pedestrian crossing will soon allow to people to move above the road level, making it possible to remove the pedestrian traffic light and increase the throughput capacity of the intersection. Simultaneously with the installation of the metal span, the Novosibirsk Power Network Company carried out work on disconnection and lowering of the contact network of trolleybuses and its subsequent restoration.
In total, the concession project envisages four above-ground covered pedestrian crossings, which will be located on Truda Square, exits from Shirokaya and Stanislavskogo streets and Energetikov avenue. Each crossing will be equipped with lifts for pedestrians with reduced mobility. Overpasses will allow traffic on the new highway to pass without traffic lights.
The left-bank interchange includes 25 exits and 7 overpasses, which will ensure traffic on it from all adjacent streets. Today, its total construction readiness is 75%. The overpass of the main course on the left bank is 76% ready. The installation of metal span structures and adhesive waterproofing was finished here. The concreting of the monolithic slab of the roadway is slated for completion at the end of August.
Since the work was being conducted in an intensive road traffic zone, VIS Group has mobilized additional forces to speed up the creation of the infrastructure of the left-bank transport interchange. Specialists with the necessary gear and small mechanical equipment were additionally mobilized from the Moscow Territorial Administration.
Another pair of cables was also installed over the past weekend. 62 out of 70 cables have been tensioned. To date, all key elements of the concession project on both banks of the Ob are in a high degree of construction readiness. The work on the bridge crossing is 85% complete, the lower layer of asphalt concrete has been laid here. Work continues at all technological sites simultaneously along the entire length of the route, engaging over 1,300 people and 227 units of machines and mechanisms.

VIS Group continues the construction of the supplementary transport infrastructure of the bridge over the Ob in Novosibirsk.
