Overall construction readiness of the Mytishchi Expressway is about 70%

The automobile highway being built by VIS Group in the Moscow region is an expressway that will become another link in the creation of a new transport system in the Moscow region. The concession project is progressing according to schedule, with traffic expected to open late next year. Today, its overall construction readiness is approximately 70%.

To date, the top layer of road surface has been laid over 8.5 km, which constitutes over 60% of the main route. The total span of the route is 16.1 km, the main route is 14.2 km. The readiness of the road’s structural layers along 10.2 km is also high; the bottom layer of pavement has been laid here. Noise barriers are being installed along a 10.3-km section. They reduce noise impact by an average of 10-20 decibels, which eliminates the negative impact on residential and social facilities located along the highway. At the same time, builders are installing lighting poles on sections of the road that are at a high level of readiness; a total of 1,311 poles are provided for the project.

The project to create a backup of the Moscow Ring Road - is one of the largest road construction projects in the region, employing 830 people and 170 units of special equipment. The work is being carried out over 14.3 km; in sections of 1.8 km, the relocation of high-voltage lines is expected to be carried out by their owners. The concession provides for the creation not only of transport infrastructure, but also the reconstruction and modernization of utilities in the construction area. Of the 175 utility networks, 145 have already been rebuilt, including the main gas pipeline near the village of Belyaninovo.

The toll expressway created under the concession agreement will significantly improve transport connectedness across a large area of the Moscow region and relieve congestion on existing roads. About 850,000 residents of adjacent settlements will be able to use the new route, which will also greatly facilitate travel to Sheremetyevo Airport. The route runs from the village of Tarasovka through the village of Boltino to the village of Vinogradovo, connecting Yaroslavskoye, Ostashkovskoye and Dmitrovskoye highways. To ensure a link to the latter, in 2022 VIS Group assumed obligations under a government contract to reconstruct a 2.7-km section of Afanasovskoye Highway. The roadway will be expanded from 2 to 4-6 lanes, public transport stops will be reconstructed and three overpasses will be built. This part of the road will remain free for users.
