The cable-stayed system of the bridge across the Ob in Novosibirsk is more than 50% ready

More than 1,300 people and 220 pieces of equipment are engaged around the clock by VIS Group in the construction of the transport infrastructure facilities of the concession to create a bridge across the Ob in Novosibirsk.

To date, all 17 pillars of the bridge crossing have been erected. The construction of the 114-meter pylon has been fully completed, work is underway to tension the cables. The complex technological installation of the 70-cable system began in May. At the moment, 42 cables have been installed, which constitutes 60% of the total. As they are tensioned, work continues on the setup of the roadway on the cable-stayed bridge section towards the exit to Ippodromskaya street. Fortification of the reinforced concrete slab is 90% complete, the roadway slab itself is 45% concreted, a total of about 1800 m3 of concrete has been laid.

The installation of the lower layer of asphalt concrete pavement on the channel part of the bridge between supports 6 and 13 has been completed. The lower layer of asphalt concrete has been completely laid on superstructure s1-6. A total of 657 out of 666 parapet barrier blocks were installed. The overall technical readiness of the bridge today is estimated at 85%.

44 out of 45 pillars have been erected at the left-bank transport interchange, the construction of 4 out of 10 retaining exit walls has been fully completed. Work is underway on the installation of metal span overpass structures, the installation of subgrade and road pavement. In October, the construction of four pedestrian crossings will be completed, each of which will be equipped with elevators for people with disabilities. The technical readiness of the infrastructure of the left-bank transport interchange is 75%.

All 24 support structures have been erected on the overpass of the main passage with a length of 1164 meters. The installation of the metal superstructure components has been completed. The monolithic slab of the carriageway is 73% concreted, and the overall technical readiness of the main passage overpass is 76%.

The new bridge crossing in Novosibirsk will become the backbone infrastructure for the subsequent development of the metropolitan transport system. Recently, plans were announced for a large-scale renovation of the territories adjacent to the fourth bridge, and in the future, the construction of three more crossings across the Ob. VIS Group is implementing a concession project based on the results of a tender held by the regional government. The project was developed by AO Stroyproekt Institute and was part of the tender documentation.
