The Governor of the Moscow region drove along a section of the Mytishchi high-speed chord under construction

On July 27, the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov, together with the Minister of Transport of the Moscow Region Alexei Gerzhik, visited the construction site of the Mytishchi high-speed chord being built by VIS Group. The head of the region drove a car along one of the sections of the road in a high degree of readiness around Pirogovskoye highway.

The holding was represented at the facility by First Deputy CEO Sergey Yudin and project manager Alexander Maksakov. Today, work has been launched on 13 out of 16 km of the new highway, and the transfer of high-voltage lines VL-500 and VL-220 is expected in the remaining sections. The construction site involved 230 units of road construction equipment and more than 1,100 people.

“The concession is being implemented in accordance with the schedule. To date, more than 3 million cubic meters of soil have been laid into the road structure. Over 9 kilometers, two of the three layers of asphalt concrete pavement are ready,” Sergey Yudin said. “The project provides for the creation of 6 interchanges that will provide convenient access to the highway from the Dmitrovsky, Ostashkovsky and Yaroslavl highways and from the settlements adjacent to them.”

“It is a very important road, first and foremost, for those who live in the urban district of Mytishchi, Pirogovka. This modern highway will connect the two highways. Our goal is to launch the road by the end of 2024. I hope that everything will be done on time. I was here a year ago - I see progress, dynamics. We will continue to assist in the transfer of networks, both electric and gas - we understand that this is the most difficult task in the construction of infrastructure in the Moscow region,” said Andrey Vorobyov.

In addition to the main course of the route, the design proposes 11 bridges and overpasses, 10 of which are under construction. Four of them are in a high degree of readiness, concreting of roadway slabs has been completed. Storm sewers have also been installed throughout the road, including interchanges. Wastewater treatment will be carried out using local treatment facilities.

“We have practically one local treatment plant for every kilometer of the road. All the waters collected near the highway will go through storm sewers and be treated, which in many ways distinguishes this road from others,” shared Alexander Maksakov. “In addition to the main course, the project provides for the construction of interchanges in the settlements adjacent to this highway. The largest of them is in the Ostashkovsky highway area, its area is 1.5 sq. km. In addition to the main passage, we are also reconstructing part of the city road network.”

In order to increase the highway capacity and driver comfort, a decision was made to replace the toll collection points with a free flow system. For this reason, the previously adopted design decisions are currently being adjusted.

VIS Group acts as the project concessionaire and investor. The share of private investment in the construction phase is about 80%. The 16-kilometer Mytishchinskaya Chord will pass at a distance to the north of the Moscow Ring Road - from Dmitrovskoye to Yaroslavskoye Highway, acting as a backup for one of the busiest sections of the ring highway and maintaining transport links between settlements. The predicted traffic at different stages of operation is from 24.6 to 39 thousand vehicles per day. There will be a total of four traffic lanes, two in each direction. Speed mode - up to 110 km/h. After the facility is put into operation, VIS Group will carry out the technical and commercial operation of the motorway until January 30, 2033.
