The penultimate pair of cables has been installed on the bridge over the Ob River in Novosibirsk

VIS Group is completing the installation of the cable-stayed system of the bridge over the Ob River in Novosibirsk, which will hold the three spans of the bridge with a total length of 380 meters and a weight of over 21 thousand tons. Today, work on tensioning the penultimate, 34th pair has been completed. Each cable of this pair is 170 meters long. A total of 68 out of 70 cables have been installed. Concreting of the roadway slab of the cable-stayed section is being completed, more than 2.7 thousand m3 of concrete has been laid.

At the right-bank traffic interchange the laying of the top layer of the base and the bottom layer of the road surface made of asphalt concrete has been completed, the arrangement of the finishing layer made of crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete is in progress.

On the channel part of the bridge crossing the laying of the bottom layer of asphalt concrete pavement is fully completed. In the direction from the left bank to the right bank, the top layer of the crushed stone-mastic asphalt pavement is being laid. The work involves road rollers, an autohydraulic paving machine, a road milling machine and an asphalt paving complex with a digital system for monitoring all parameters online. This allows the technology of asphalt laying to be strictly observed and controlled. Asphalt concrete mix is supplied from the company's own modular plant with a capacity of 240 tons per hour, which fully meets the needs of the construction site.

All infrastructure facilities of the bridge concession are operated by VIS Group on a daily basis by about 1,400 people, 217 units of machines and mechanisms.
