VIS Group’s prospective and current projects were discussed on the sidelines of the forum by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Sergei Romashov, and the First Deputy CEO Sergei Yudin. Meetings took place with the heads of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Novosibirsk region, Khabarovsk, Transbaikal and Perm territories. The prospects for cooperation in the field of airport construction in a concession format were discussed with the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation) Dmitry Yadrov.
In Yakutia, VIS Group is preparing to begin work next spring on the main construction cycle for the bridge across the Lena River . In 2023, the large-scale infrastructure project received the support of the President of the Russian Federation and passed the state examination for the second stage, which included the bridge crossing itself and the right-bank road approach to it. To date, a lot of preparatory work has already been carried out, e.g., relocation of utilities and preparation of the construction site.
The length of the bridge crossing will be 4.6 km, including 2.5 km in the riverbed part. The length of the entire new transport infrastructure, including road access on the left and right banks, will exceed 14 km. This will be the first land crossing across the Lena River in Yakutsk, which will provide a year-round connection between the capital of the republic and the “mainland” and will replace unsafe winter roads and overcrowded ferries operating on the river in the summer.
