On September 2, the town of Tarko-Sale of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (YaNAD) celebrated its 90th anniversary. A symbolic gift for the City Day was the opening of the second stage of the embankment on the right bank of the Pyakupur River for visitors. It was the site of the main anniversary celebrations - concerts, the Soul of Russia national cultures festival, the Epoch exhibition dedicated to the history of the town's development. The festive events were attended by Governor of the YaNAD Dmitry Artyukhov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Dmitry Kobylkin, Chairman of the Board of PAO Novatek Leonid Mikhelson. VIS Group was represented by the project director Artyom Efimov.
The project was implemented by the construction division of VIS Group under a government contract. The embankment bears the name of the founder of Tarko-Sale, pioneer Mikhail Sargin. The total area of the new recreational area is 7.5 hectares, which makes it one of the largest in the Far North. The construction was divided into two stages. The first phase was opened in 2018. VIS Group has created not only a spacious walking area, but also new town sights. With the opening of the second stage, an amphitheater and a sculpture of a reindeer, a regional symbol, appeared on the embankment. In addition, viewing platforms, slopes to the river, small architectural forms, lawns and flower beds have been landscaped.
A large range of landscaping works included paving the walking area with granite slabs with a total area of over 30,000 m2, installing 3.3 km of granite curbs, landscaping work on an area of 13,200 m2, installing storm sewers and lighting, video surveillance systems. The length of the granite fence with decorative inserts is 925 meters.
The implementation of the project allowed to form a safe coastline and a modern recreation area within the city, which is not inferior to analogues in large cities. This is not the first such project for VIS Group. Embankments in Yaroslavl and Astrakhan were built by the holding for the 1000th and 450th anniversary of these cities. They have become one of the main attractions and attract thousands of tourists.
